Falklands veteran's last farewell
The Royal Navy's amphibious assault ship HMS Intrepid will next week make her final voyage - under tow from Portsmouth to the breakers yard. She is due to arrive at her destination, a recycling facility on Merseyside, on 12 September.

Intrepid played a major role in Britain's operations during the Falklands war, taking part in amphibious assaults in San Carlos Water and Bluff Cove. The 12,000-tonne ship, which came under attack on several occasions, has been moored in Portsmouth Harbour since being decommissioned in 1999.
