Aircraft carrier visits Thames
HMS Illustrious has arrived at Greenwich for a week-long visit. The aircraft carrier, one of the Royal Navy's largest warships, will be a centrepiece for the Navy's Remembrance Weekend celebrations.

During her visit, crew members will take part in a number of ceremonies in the capital, including the Lord Mayor's parade and Remembrance Sunday. Her Commanding Officer, Captain Steve Chick, said "HMS Illustrious is glad to be back in London and amongst friends. The Ship is affiliated to several organisations within London and we are very appreciative of such relationships."

Illustrious will be moored at Greenwich Tier, just upstream from the historic Old Royal Naval College at Greenwich, until 12 November.
