A new miniaturized BRAtt training tug has recently been completed in Canada by Adrenalin Marine. Canada's Adrenalin Marine has completed construction of a new ‘mini-tug' for training operators of high-technology Z-drive tugboats.  

The 25.5ft by 11.9ft miniature tug is an outgrowth of a number of small radio-controlled model tugs built for training purposes by Ron Burchett of British Columbia and the design talents of Vancouver, BC-based Robert Allan, hence the name 'BRAtt' (Burchett Robert Allan training tug).

Costing about US$750,000 to build, the small tug is a quarter-scale version of existing Robert Allan designed Z-drive tugboats and will be used mainly for training, but with 8,000lbs of bollard pull, can also perform such work such as dead-tug movement, barge assist, yarding and acting as a line or boom boat.
